Can I buy USPS Parcel Select for one package?
No. DMM 253 prices it by destination entry with a minimum of 50 pieces per mailing, Intelligent Mail barcodes on every piece and a physical drop at a named postal facility. That is a product for mailers moving pallets, not for a single carton.
What replaced Parcel Select Ground?
USPS Ground Advantage, launched in July 2023. The same change retired USPS Retail Ground and First-Class Package Service, folding all of them into one tier with a 2 to 5 business day expectation, a 70 lb limit and $100 of included coverage.
How much cheaper is the commercial price?
Notice 123, effective July 12, 2026, lists a 5 lb zone 4 Ground Advantage parcel at $15.80 at a Post Office counter and $11.02 commercial. That is $4.78 on one parcel, decided only by where the label was bought.
Does Parcel Select come with a delivery date?
It does not. DMM 253 states that USPS makes no commitment to deliver within a specified timeframe for this product, although some pieces receive deferred handling. Ground Advantage, by contrast, carries a published 2 to 5 day expectation.
