Scope

SMKlog provides international freight request intake, qualification, routing, and provider-path coordination services for business shippers and logistics-provider workflows.

No Performance Guarantee

SMKlog does not guarantee shipment awards, signed transport contracts, carrier availability, revenue outcomes, pricing outcomes, or specific conversion rates. We provide intake, qualification, and routing support based on the information provided.

Service Role Clarification

Unless separately licensed and contracted in writing, SMKlog is not acting as a motor carrier, freight broker, customs broker, or transport operator in the execution of a shipment. SMKlog functions as an intake, qualification, and coordination layer.

For parcel labels, SMKlog provides checkout and label purchase support. The selected carrier performs transportation and controls service availability, acceptance, transit, delivery, adjustments, and carrier-specific rules.

User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate business, shipment, and contact information
• Provide accurate package weight, dimensions, contents, origin, destination, and service-related information when purchasing or requesting a shipping label
• Use the site only for lawful business inquiries and service evaluation
• Refrain from submitting misleading, fraudulent, or abusive requests
• Comply with applicable trade, marketing, sanctions, and privacy laws

Parcel Labels and Carrier Adjustments

When SMKlog offers parcel label purchase, package dimensions, weight, package type, address, contents, and service information may be supplied by the user or estimated for convenience. Estimates are not a guarantee that the carrier or shipping platform will accept the shipment without correction. You are responsible for confirming that the shipment details are complete and accurate before purchasing, downloading, printing, or using a label.

Carrier and shipping-platform adjustments are limited to corrections connected to the same shipment and label purchase. SMKlog does not use this agreement to add arbitrary charges or unrelated fees. Adjustments may include charges or credits based on actual weight, actual dimensions, dimensional weight, package type, origin or destination address, residential or commercial status, delivery area, selected or corrected service, return charges, address correction fees, carrier accessorials, or other carrier or shipping-platform rules applied to that shipment.

Carrier corrections typically surface within 30 days of carrier acceptance. SMKlog records adjustments from the carrier's or platform's report and notifies you by email when a correction is billed to you or credited. If you believe an adjustment is incorrect, reply to that notification or contact [email protected]; disputed adjustments are reviewed against the carrier's report, and charges found to be incorrect are refunded to the same payment method.

By purchasing, approving, downloading, printing, or using a parcel label through SMKlog, you agree that carrier or shipping-platform corrections connected to that shipment, reported within 30 days of carrier acceptance, remain payable by you. SMKlog bills such corrections by sending a payment request (for example, a Stripe invoice) to the email address provided with the order, and issues credits as a refund to the original payment method. Unpaid corrections may block future label purchases until resolved, and SMKlog may recover unpaid corrections to the fullest extent permitted by law, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

SMKlog may require manual review, exact package data, a deposit, account approval, or additional verification for high-risk, oversized, international, palletized, crated, hazardous, restricted, suspicious, or commercial-freight shipments. SMKlog may refuse or cancel label purchase when shipment data appears incomplete, inconsistent, restricted, or abusive.

Label Refunds and Voids

If a paid label cannot be created, SMKlog will review the order and either issue the label, request corrected information, or refund the label payment when no label can be provided. Unused labels may be eligible for carrier void or postage refund only when allowed by the selected carrier or shipping platform. Carrier and postage refunds are not guaranteed and may take time to process.

Commercial Freight, Pallets, and Manager Review

Palletized, crated, oversized, multi-piece, international commercial cargo, and other freight shipments may require manager review before booking. Calculator results for these shipments are planning estimates only and may be used to start a conversation with a shipping manager. Final pricing depends on confirmed cargo data, pickup and delivery requirements, customs details, accessorials, carrier availability, and applicable freight terms.

Restricted and Prohibited Items

You are responsible for ensuring that your shipment does not contain prohibited, restricted, hazardous, misdeclared, or unlawful items. Examples may include hazardous materials, regulated batteries, alcohol, firearms, controlled substances, cash, prescription drugs, perishable goods, or other items restricted by law or carrier rules. SMKlog may refuse, cancel, hold, or require manual review for shipments that appear restricted, prohibited, suspicious, or incomplete.

When purchasing a parcel label, you act as the shipper, mailer, and contents declarant for the package. SMKlog does not inspect, pack, seal, tender, or independently verify the physical contents of your package. You are responsible for accurately declaring the actual package contents and for complying with USPS, carrier, platform, DOT, federal, state, and local restrictions, including hazardous-materials classification, packaging, marking, labeling, documentation, and service eligibility. If inaccurate, incomplete, masked, prohibited, restricted, hazardous, or unlawful contents cause carrier adjustments, account penalties, rejected mail, returns, seizures, cleanup costs, damages, fines, chargebacks, investigations, or other losses, you agree to reimburse and indemnify SMKlog to the fullest extent permitted by law.

SMKlog may save a compliance snapshot connected to a label purchase, including the declared contents, restriction checklist answers, certification version, selected service, rate, package details, and technical audit hashes. This snapshot is used for order recovery, abuse prevention, carrier disputes, and compliance review.

See Shipping Restrictions before purchasing a label if there is any chance your package contains aerosols, batteries, perfume, alcohol, paint, chemicals, medicine, tobacco, CBD, firearms, ammunition, perishable goods, live items, used or damaged electronics, or other regulated contents.

International Shipments and Customs Declarations

For international shipments you act as the exporter and U.S. Principal Party in Interest (USPPI). You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the customs declaration, including the item description, declared value, country of origin, quantity, and Harmonized System (HS) or Schedule B classification, and for compliance with U.S. Foreign Trade Regulations (15 CFR Part 30), export controls, and destination-country import rules. Duties, taxes, brokerage, and customs fees are the responsibility of the shipper or recipient, not SMKlog.

Any HS or Schedule B code suggestions, tariff descriptions, destination restriction notices, or duty estimates provided by SMKlog (including automated suggestions) are informational tools only. They are not legal advice, not a customs broker service, and not a classification ruling. You must review and confirm every value in the customs declaration before payment; your confirmation at checkout constitutes your electronic certification of the declaration, and your name is transmitted to the carrier as the customs signer. Shipments valued at $2,500 or more may require an AES/EEI filing (ITN) that you are responsible for obtaining unless SMKlog expressly agrees in writing to prepare it as part of a manual quote.

Acceptable Use

Users must not misuse the site, spam providers, submit fraudulent shipment requests, or use SMKlog to facilitate unlawful or abusive conduct.

Limitation of Liability

Services are provided on a commercially reasonable basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMKlog is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or service coordination process.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, unless a separate written agreement explicitly states otherwise.
