A dozen pounds either way does not change the category. One machine is light enough that a pallet and a forklift handle it, and the other is heavy enough that the conversation is about deck height, tie-down and whether the route needs a permit. Drain the fuel

Strap it to the deck
Bolt or band the machine to a pallet or into a crate so it cannot roll or tip, block the wheels, and protect the hood and controls. A loose machine on a pallet is what turns a clean delivery into a claim.
