What a FedEx stop costs, per visit
FedEx prices collection by the stop, and the price changes with three things: whether you want the driver today or later, whether you booked online or over the phone, and whether it is a Saturday.

Picking up the phone costs $1.50 a stop on every row of that card. Waiting a day instead of demanding one today saves $5.75 on a weekday online booking. Neither is a huge sum on its own, and both are pure margin lost if you book on autopilot.
The add-ons and the recurring plans
The stop charge is the start of the bill, not the end of it. FedEx publishes four location surcharges on the same card, and a separate weekly structure for shippers who want the driver on a standing schedule.

A same-day collection from a house is the $14.75 stop charge with the $5.95 residential surcharge stacked on top of it, before any area surcharge that your ZIP attracts. That is the number worth checking against a five-minute drive to a drop point.

A weekend on-call stop runs from $15.50 up to $22.75 depending on how and when you book. A recurring Saturday or Sunday collection is billed at $12.00 a day. Weekend shipping is a decision with a price tag, not a convenience.
Missing the driver is not fatal
FedEx points shippers who miss a pickup toward more than 50,000 drop locations. A prepaid parcel handed in at one of them moves the same way it would have from your porch, minus the stop charge.
