Size the outer carton tight. A snug double-wall box protects better than a roomy single-wall one, and it keeps the dimensional footprint from inflating what you pay.
There is no chilled parcel lane to buy, and gel packs give up long before a cross-country ground run ends. What actually works: drop off early in the week so the box never idles over a weekend, favor the shortest transit on offer during heat waves, and glance at the destination forecast before committing a soft soy blend to a desert ZIP.
Tins shrug off most abuse and forgive thin padding. Glass jars need the divider and hate sharing a cell. Pillars are pure exposed wax, so give each face its own bubble layer and treat any carved detail as already fragile.
