The same compact box cost $45.45 to Seattle against $33.15 to Dallas at its cheapest, and the gap held across every service. Zone pricing is real at 25 lb, but notice it is smaller than the carton effect on these boards.
Speed at this weight is expensive: the air tier priced well above plain Ground on all three requests, $59.53 against $35.22 on the compact Dallas box at the narrowest. It only repaid that on the coast lane, where it arrived four days ahead of anything on wheels.
The practical move at 25 lb is to pack dense and measure honestly.
