What does FedEx charge to ship internationally?

FedEx does not print an international rate table anywhere on fedex.com. The number only exists once an account, a weight, a package, and a destination are all typed in, so the only honest way to answer this is to type them in. Below is what FedEx quoted through SMKlog's own checkout for one parcel at two weights, to each of the four countries the site currently sells international labels for, captured 2026-09-01.

FedEx's international page names eleven products and prices none of them. The number comes from a quote, not a chart.

Two parcels, four countries, what FedEx actually quoted

Same parcel, same origin, sent to Toronto, London, Berlin and Sydney at two different weights. Each row is the cheapest FedEx line item SMKlog's checkout returned for that box on that route — other carriers were also quoted and sometimes beat FedEx, but this table isolates what FedEx itself was asking.

Cheapest FedEx line item per lane, from Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922, quoted through SMKlog's checkout (quote-api.smklog.com/quote) on 2026-09-01. Delivery days as returned by FedEx; a dash means FedEx did not return a delivery-day figure for that line.

Two things move together here and it is easy to mistake one for the other. Weight raises every price, on every lane, the way it does domestically. But the winning FedEx service also changes with weight — Toronto's cheapest line stayed a ground-network product at both weights, while London, Berlin and Sydney all shifted from the Priority Express air product on the light box to the slower Connect Plus product once the box got heavier. That is FedEx's own network deciding which of its products undercuts the others, not a rule that holds across every parcel.

Every FedEx tier we saw on the heavier box

The table above shows only the cheapest FedEx line per lane. FedEx actually returned three to four separate international products on most quotes, and the spread between the cheapest and the fastest is worth seeing before picking one at checkout.

On London, Berlin and Sydney the jump from the cheapest tier to a 2-day service roughly doubled or tripled the price on this parcel. Paying for speed on a cross-border box is expensive in a way it usually is not domestically, because the fast tier is flying the parcel rather than trucking it to a port and consolidating it with other freight.

What the price includes, and what it does not

One number, not a stack of add-ons

Every figure above is what the checkout would actually charge for that box on that route — the carrier's cost and SMKlog's charge already combined into one line, the way the price shows at checkout.

Duty and tax are separate

None of these prices include duty, VAT or GST at the destination. Checkout completes the customs declaration and shows who is billed for that separately, before payment.

Your box will not match ours exactly

Change the weight, the dimensions or the destination postal code and the cheapest FedEx line can shift to a different product entirely, as it already did between the two weights on three of the four lanes above.

This page is about price only. For the paperwork FedEx requires, who gets billed for duty by default, and what will not cross a border on a domestic hazmat label, see can FedEx ship internationally, which covers that ground in full and is not repeated here.

Where these numbers come from

  • SMKlog checkout (quote-api.smklog.com/quote) — live rate quotes for a 33 × 20 × 12 cm, 1.4 kg parcel and a 40 × 30 × 30 cm, 5.5 kg parcel, both shipped from Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922 to Toronto (M5V 3A8), London (SW1A 1AA), Berlin (10115) and Sydney (2000). Captured 2026-09-01.

FedEx's own international shipping page at fedex.com lists eleven product names and no prices — see the sourced breakdown on can FedEx ship internationally. Rates change with fuel surcharges, peak-season pricing and account terms; treat the figures above as what this specific parcel cost on this specific date, and requote before you rely on a number.

Common questions

How much does FedEx charge to ship internationally?

It depends entirely on weight and destination, because FedEx does not publish one. On the two parcels quoted for this page, the cheapest FedEx line ran from $30.09 to Toronto on a 1.4 kg box up to $116.63 to Sydney on a 5.5 kg box, captured through SMKlog's checkout on 2026-09-01.

Does FedEx publish its own international rate table?

No. FedEx prices international shipments against an account, a weight and a destination rather than printing a chart, which is why the figures on this page come from a live checkout instead of a fedex.com table.

Which FedEx international service comes out cheapest?

There is no single winner. FedEx Ground was the cheapest line to Canada at both weights we quoted, FedEx International Priority Express won on the lighter parcel to the UK and Australia, and FedEx International Connect Plus took over once the parcel got heavier on every lane except Canada.

Is FedEx Ground really an international service?

Only across the one border it crosses. FedEx runs a ground product into Canada, and it returned as the cheapest FedEx line on both Canadian quotes on this page at 2 business days. It did not appear on the UK, Germany or Australia quotes.

Can I buy a FedEx international label through SMKlog?

On the four lanes priced here, yes. Checkout compares FedEx against whichever other carriers serve the same route and shows the cheapest one, FedEx or not, with the customs paperwork completed before payment. Type the actual parcel into the calculator for a quote on your own box rather than the two sample parcels used on this page.
