Yes, and on Sunday too for residential parcels. FedEx writes that "FedEx Home Delivery offers service 7 days a week. It delivers to 98% of the U.S. population on Saturdays, and nearly two-thirds of the U.S. population on Sundays." and, in the same place, that "FedEx Home Delivery does not charge additional fees for Saturday and Sunday delivery." (fedex.com, checked 2026-07-28). The express tiers are the ones that treat the weekend as an add-on.
Home Delivery treats Saturday and Sunday as ordinary days. The overnight tiers price them separately.
FedEx runs two different weekend policies at once, which is exactly why the summary blogs contradict each other. Residential ground parcels get the weekend built in; the express tiers sell it.

Ground Economy is the residential-focused tier, and its windows widen with distance in the way you would expect: 2-3 business days across the river, 8-9 to the far corner of the country. A weekend that falls inside one of those windows is not lost time on this service the way it is on a strict weekday network.
The seven-day behaviour belongs to residential parcels. A shipment to a commercial receiver follows the commercial pattern, so check the destination type before you assume a Saturday arrival on a business address.

Nearly. Its published 2026 schedule shows FedEx open on Saturday 14 February, Saturday 4 April, Saturday 26 December and Saturday 2 January 2027, and closed on Saturday 4 July for Independence Day. Sundays are mixed: 5 April is closed for Easter, while 10 May and 21 June are open.
