The bass box is the longest of the three at 52 inches, yet it undercut the shorter acoustic box on Ground. Route matters as much as the carton: Chicago is a shorter pull from Berkeley Heights than Denver, and that alone accounts for part of the gap. Compare your own ZIP codes rather than reading these as a fixed price list.
UPS's shipping dimensions page states a maximum package length of 108 inches, a maximum of 165 inches for length plus girth combined, and a maximum weight of 150 lb. None of the three cross UPS's 96 inch length threshold or its 130 inch length-plus-girth threshold, and none is anywhere near 17,280 cubic inches or 110 lb, so none of them trigger the 90 lb Large Package minimum. A double-neck guitar or an oversize flight case is the realistic scenario where that changes.
A long guitar box does reach one lesser UPS threshold, though. The same UPS page sets additional handling at a longest side over 48 inches, a second-longest side over 30 inches, weight over 50 lb, or cubic size over 10,368 cubic inches. The bass carton above is 52 inches on its longest side, so it crosses the first of those; the 39 and 44 inch guitar boxes clear all four.
