Where records live
| Data | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Order, shipment, label and quote records | Cloudflare D1 database, region ENAM (Eastern North America) | The database was created on 2026-05-26 and runs in Cloudflare’s Eastern North America region; Cloudflare replicates and backs it up within its own network. |
| Site pages and discovery documents | Cloudflare Pages, served from Cloudflare’s global edge | Static content with no personal data; cached worldwide. |
| Payments, receipts, invoices | Stripe, United States | Card data is held by Stripe only. |
| Label files and carrier records | EasyPost (United States) and Envia (Mexico), and the carriers themselves | A label is also kept in the SMKlog order record so it can be reprinted. |
| Transactional email | Resend, United States | Delivery logs are kept by Resend for its own retention period. |
| Site analytics | Google Analytics, United States | Usage data; not linked to order records. |
Where data travels
To fulfil an order, sender and recipient details go to the carrier through EasyPost or Envia, the payer’s email goes to Stripe for the receipt, and the label goes to the customer through Resend. Item descriptions go to the AI providers named on the subprocessor list for the packaging estimate. A customer outside the United States should expect their data to be processed in the United States, and in Mexico for an Envia-fulfilled label.
Requests
Access, correction and deletion requests are handled by email as the privacy policy describes; records needed for tax, fraud prevention or a carrier dispute are retained for as long as that need lasts. Questions about residency for a specific integration: info@smklog.com.
