Easyship alternative when nothing you ship leaves the country

Easyship is a multi-carrier platform whose plans page is organised around cross-border work, with import tax and duty calculation and customs documentation running through the tiers (per easyship.com/plans, checked 2026-07-28). SMKlog does not sell international labels at all, so if your parcels cross a border this comparison is over before it starts and Easyship is the right answer.

What Easyship publishes about its plans

From easyship.com/plans on 2026-07-28. We are quoting what rendered and skipping what did not, rather than filling in numbers we could not read.

  • Five tiers appear: Free, Plus, Premier, Scale and Enterprise, with Enterprise quoted on request.
  • The Free tier is described as Core features for small business shipping and needs no credit card.
  • Paid tiers are advertised with annual billing available and a trial before the first charge.
  • Cross-border features run across the comparison: import tax and duty calculation, customs documentation, and courier selection across many destinations.
  • We are not printing the paid monthly figures. The price cells on the plans page did not render when we fetched it on 2026-07-28, and a number we could not read is a number we will not publish.

That last bullet is the standard we hold ourselves to on every competitor page here. If a figure cannot be read off the vendor's own page on a stated date, it does not go on ours.

Four domestic distances, one identical box

Here is what US-only coverage looks like in practice. The same 12 × 10 × 6 in carton at 5 lb left Newark for four destinations on the same afternoon, and the spread between nearest and furthest is the whole story of domestic zone pricing.

12 x 10 x 6 in carton, 5 lb, from Newark NJ 07102 to four destinations. SMKlog live rates, quoted 2026-07-28.
DestinationCheapest all-inService behind itFastest window in the same quote
Hoboken, NJ 07030$10.37UPS Ground Saver1 business day, UPS Ground at $11.24
Atlanta, GA 30303$13.52UPS Ground Saver2-3 business days, UPS Ground at $14.05
Dallas, TX 75201$15.49UPS Ground Saver2-3 business days, UPS 2nd Day Air at $23.99
Seattle, WA 98101$19.14UPS Ground Saver2-3 business days, UPS 2nd Day Air at $31.43

Two things fall out of that table. Crossing the entire country roughly doubled the floor price, from $10.37 to $19.14, which is a gentler curve than most people expect. And the cheapest row was the same service every time while the fastest was not, so the second and third columns are answering genuinely different questions.

What we do not sell, listed without softening

This is the only page in this set where a competitor covers a whole category we have chosen not to enter. It seems worth being exact about the boundary.

  • No international parcel labels. Cross-border requests pause for a review of contents, restrictions and customs details instead of going through self-service checkout.
  • No customs paperwork, no duty or import tax calculation, and no landed-cost estimates.
  • No storefront integrations and no order import in the free tier.
  • No warehousing and no fulfillment of any kind.
  • No pallet, crate or vehicle checkout. Those move into freight review with a person attached, which is slower by design.

What is left after all that is a narrow product: describe a US domestic parcel, compare live USPS, UPS and FedEx rates, pay, print, and get a tracking number. Our services page sets out how a request gets routed between that path and the review path.

Free tiers are not the same shape

Easyship's Free tier and our Free plan both cost nothing and both meter something. Theirs is described around core small-business features; ours allows 15 quotes a month with three of them before any account exists. Read both limits against your own month rather than the headline word.

Domestic pricing is mostly geometry

Once a border is out of the picture, price comes down to weight, box volume and the distance between two ZIP codes. That is why our calculator asks what the item is before anything else, so the box can be estimated properly.

Duty calculation is genuinely hard

Landed cost, HS codes and import tax rules are specialist work and worth paying for when you need them. We would rather send you to a platform built for it than bolt on a version that gets it half right.

Easyship, international scope and domestic parcels

Does Easyship have a free plan?

Yes. Its plans page lists a Free tier described as core features for small business shipping, with no credit card required, checked at easyship.com/plans on 2026-07-28. Paid tiers named Plus, Premier, Scale and Enterprise sit above it.

Can SMKlog ship internationally?

No. We sell US domestic parcel labels only. Cross-border requests are routed to a review path for contents, restrictions and customs details rather than to self-service checkout, and no international label is sold through the calculator.

What does a domestic parcel cost across the country?

For a 12 x 10 x 6 in carton at 5 lb leaving Newark on 2026-07-28, the cheapest live rate was $10.37 to Hoboken and $19.14 to Seattle. Atlanta came in at $13.52 and Dallas at $15.49, all figures complete at checkout.

Why are the paid Easyship prices not listed here?

Because we could not read them. The price cells on their plans page did not render when we fetched it on 2026-07-28, and our rule on these pages is that any figure we publish about another company has to come off that company's own page on a named date.
