Two details in that table catch people out. Day-old poultry vaccinated with Newcastle disease live virus is nonmailable regardless of species, and pheasants are seasonal, permitted only during April through August.
Permission is never unconditional here. The sections attach marking, timing and container rules that the shipper is responsible for meeting.
Indemnity rules follow the same logic. Claims on bee shipments carrying added coverage are accepted for death from postal handling, loss from container damage in postal custody, or a lost package, and the postal claims chapter separately lists the cost of bees, crickets or baby poultry destroyed by physical damage to the package as a payable item.

A live animal description, by contrast, ends at a refusal in our checkout. Our restrictions policy names live animals alongside perishables and biological material, and none of it reaches a payment screen.
Day-old chicks live on absorbed yolk for their first day, which is the biological window the 24-hour rule tracks. No courier network built a better answer, so the postal route survives with its own boxes, its own markings and its own claim rules.
